What’s NEW

  • MEP Recruiters!  There is a Recruiter Training scheduled for Tuesday, February 16th, 2010 in Wichita at the Holiday Inn Express located at 549 S. Rock Road.  It is scheduled from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  Details will go out in an email.

  • MEP Directors!  There is a Director’s Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 17th, 2010 in Wichita at the Holiday Inn Express located at 549 S. Rock Road.  It is also scheduled from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  Details will follow in an email.

  • MEP Families!  The Migrant Parent Advisory Council (MPAC) Region Meetings are coming soon.  Please mark your calendars for the following dates:

                ▪ Dodge City – Wednesday, March 24th, 2010
                ▪ Wichita – Friday, March 26th, 2010

  • To ALL Migrant Directors and Recruiters, in regards to Family Work History, the Kansas State Department of Education, asks that recruiters NOT use the work done in a family’s home country, with the exception of Mexico and Canada, as a work history response on a Certificate of Eligibility. In regards to Temporary-Intent, the State asks that recruiters continue to ask workers how long they would have worked on the job, if they had gotten the job.

  • We want to hear from YOU! We are searching for local stories of interest within our Kansas MEP family. These could be success stories, local plights or events happening in your area. These stories Must be migrant related. They will be featured on the home page of the Kansas MEP website. They will be rotated out every month or so in order to give everyone a chance to shine! Please fill out the Website Submit Form and return to Ron Johnson.
